I like to work on things that live on the edge of now, i.e., technologies that are either ahead of or behind the times. I’ve led a wide range of initiatives utilizing a wide range of technologies, from blockchain and distributed ledgers to a global fleet of emulated VAXen. I often find myself drawn to major modernization projects that combine severely antiquated legacy and bleeding edge, emerging technologies.
I am energized by strategic work much more than tactical work. In the tech space, strategic work might look like this:
leading teams of teams
working with senior leaders to develop and deploy strategies
researching emerging trends and technologies
managing an innovation lab, etc.
